Beliefs and Opinions

Here's what I think...

My Critiques

In this column, I'll talk about my opinion on this novel. What do I think the author was thinking of when she wrote this? What are my comments? My suggestions?

I might use this column to write about my beliefs, such as:

Her Thoughts

I personally think that the author had a deeper meaning to this book then what we might all think. Maybe she was trying to state that one day, our lives might be like that. It's truly wonderful if you really think about it, I mean, this book makes you think: where does there supplies come from? Where does the darkness lead, if not into an eternal hell?

My Thoughts about the Book

Well, here it is. I personally thought this book was one of the greatest I've read. I've always liked suspense, and books that have really made you think. Jeanne DuPrau really explained and showed what she was trying to in the first place.

My favorite chapter was the chapter, Where the River goes, where Lina and Doon travel down the flustered river, with her little sister Poppy alongside them. I couldn't put the book down!!!!

Jeanne DuPrau makes a stunning debut, with refreshingly clear writing and fascinating, original characters.

Do you feel interested in Jeanne's lovely book? If so, then check out her most recent novel- one that continues the adventure of Doon and Lina- The People of Sparks
